Women's leather jackets in buttery lamb nappa

Soft, light and supple: lamb nappa is the leather that defines this category. It comes from lambskin, has a particularly fine grain and very little weight of its own, so it drapes instead of standing stiff and sits comfortably against the skin. Alongside it stands suede, whose brushed surface looks matt and velvety. Both are natural materials: they take on body warmth, move with you and develop a patina over the years that makes each jacket personal. Colours stay in muted natural tones, and the range of sizes is broadly cut.

Short and classic: the biker jacket

The cropped biker jacket is the classic among classics, recognisable by its topstitching, epaulettes and bold zips, and depending on the model by a diagonal front fastening. It ends at or just above the waist, which lengthens the leg line and makes it work with high-waisted trousers and with a dress alike. If you prefer something quieter, there are plainer shapes with a stand-up collar or a feminine lapel.

Fitted, oversized or long

A fitted silhouette, often with a tie belt, follows the figure and looks more dressed up; reversible suede jackets add two appearances in one piece – matt or smooth, depending on which way round you wear them. Oversized cuts are more relaxed and leave room for knitwear underneath. For a long line the range of shapes extends to the leather trench coat. As a rule of thumb: the shorter the jacket, the higher the trousers may sit.
