Why pure linen?

Linen is spun from the stem fibres of the flax plant. The fibre is smooth and strong, conducts heat away well and takes up a great deal of moisture before it feels damp – which is why linen cools noticeably on hot days and stays pleasantly dry. Unlike synthetic fabrics it becomes softer with every wear and every wash and develops a livelier texture: the shorts gain character over time. Light creases belong to the material and are not a flaw but the mark of genuine linen.

Colours and combinations

The palette stays close to nature: warm, quiet sand tones for relaxed summer looks, darker shades for a sharper note. With a plain T-shirt the shorts read casual; with a polo or a light shirt they look put together – from a day at the beach to dinner outdoors. On length, a hem just above the knee looks balanced, while anyone after a sportier line goes shorter. The styles come in a broad range of sizes.

Care and what goes with them

Linen is uncomplicated: a gentle wash at 30 °C is enough, but leave out the tumble dryer so the fibre keeps its looks for a long time. After washing, simply hang the shorts up and smooth them by hand – the rest settles as you wear them.
