Men's Suede Jackets
A men's suede jacket shows leather from its quieter side: a matt, softly brushed surface instead of shine, natural texture instead of effect. Hollert makes these jackets from fine suede – in many cases from soft lambskin.

Suede jackets for men
Suede is the understatement among leathers: rather than a smooth shine it shows a finely brushed, velvety surface with natural depth. A suede jacket therefore looks warmer and more relaxed than smooth leather – and still unmistakably high quality. At Hollert this becomes men's jackets with a clear line and lasting value.
Soft and matt: what sets suede apart
Suede owes its surface to the underside of the hide, which is sanded until a short, even nap stands up. That nap is what catches the light: brushed one way the colour looks lighter, the other way darker, which gives the leather its living depth. The softer the hide, the finer the nap – which is why supple lambskin is a frequent choice. Depending on the model, the velvety outer face meets a smooth leather inside.
From overshirt to blazer cut
The range of shapes runs from the shirt-like overshirt, through the classic safari design with patch pockets, to the fitted silhouette and the blazer cut with its clean, confident line. Which one you reach for also depends on the layer underneath: an overshirt is cut to sit over a T-shirt or fine knitwear, while a blazer cut wants a collar beneath it. The colours stay close to nature, so the jacket slots easily into a wardrobe you already own.
Versatile in everyday wear
With a T-shirt and jeans the suede jacket becomes an easy everyday companion; over a shirt or fine knitwear it replaces the blazer. A tip for the mid-season: the overshirt also works as a light jacket over a long-sleeved top, and in winter a fine jumper fits underneath. Smooth-leather alternatives and further cuts are shown in our men's leather jackets category, and the complete selection for women and men in the leather jackets overview. For the cold season, lined men's shearling jackets are a good choice.
Caring for suede
The velvety surface keeps its looks with little effort: refresh it regularly with a soft brush in one direction, protect it from prolonged damp and use a care product made for nubuck and suede – that way the jacket holds its matt elegance for years.
