Linen is spun from the stem fibres of the flax plant. The fibre is smooth, conducts heat away well and takes up a great deal of moisture before it feels damp – which is why a linen shirt cools noticeably on hot days and stays fresh for hours. Because linen barely pills and softens with every wash, the fabric develops over time the characterful handle it has always been valued for. Light creases are part of the look and underline that natural ease.
