Women's house slippers for every day at home
Hardly any shoe is worn for as many hours as a slipper, yet it is often the last one to be chosen with care. It decides whether your feet stay warm and dry in the evening or cool down on cold tiles. That is why Hollert German Leather puts natural materials first: fleece, wool and leather absorb moisture instead of trapping it, and keep the warmth where you need it.
Which shape suits you?
Classic slippers slip on and off in seconds and suit anyone who moves between kitchen, desk and sofa all evening. Slipper boots with a fold-up collar also wrap the ankle and come into their own on cool floors. Ankle-high styles and versions with a hook-and-loop fastening or a zip sit particularly securely on the foot. For warmer days there are sandals lined with fleece, and if you like an open back, take a look at our sheepskin mules.
Materials: fleece, wool and leather
Most styles are lined with real fleece, depending on the model either dense merino sheepskin or finely curled fleece. The crimped fibre traps air and helps to balance temperature. If you would rather do without fleece, choose slippers made from pure merino wool, with wool inside and out. On the outside, suede is often used: it has a velvety look and keeps its shape. For an overview of styles for women and men, see our sheepskin slippers.
Soles, care and a pair for two
Depending on the model, feather-light EVA soles give a soft step, non-slip soles provide a secure grip on smooth floors and soft suede soles feel almost like walking barefoot. Air them regularly, brush them now and then and keep them away from wet conditions; that is usually all they need. Our guide cleaning and caring for sheepskin has more detailed tips. And if someone else at home has cold feet too, our men's slippers follow the same principles.
