Clothing for women by material and season

A wardrobe made from natural fibres works like a set of building blocks. Sheepskin, leather, wool and linen each have their season and their strengths, and once you know them, you shop more deliberately and wear your favourite pieces more often. The following sections show when each material comes into its own and where you will find the right women's clothing in our range.

Shearling and leather for autumn and winter

Shearling helps to balance temperature: the dense fleece retains body heat and lets moisture escape to the outside, so it feels warm in frosty weather and not stuffy in heated rooms. Leather keeps out cool wind and becomes more supple every time you wear it. You will find both together under women's coats and jackets. For the transitional season, lighter women's jackets in lamb nappa or with a fleece lining are a good choice, and if you like a more casual style, go for a biker leather jacket, depending on the model in soft lamb nappa.

Wool and cashmere for cool days

When the evenings draw in, it is time for wool. It keeps you warm while staying breathable, and cashmere adds a special softness at a low weight. At Hollert, this becomes knitwear such as jumpers, knitted waistcoats and ponchos, gathered under women's jumpers and knitwear. If you prefer a coat without sheepskin, you will find women's wool coats in wool with cashmere or alpaca, depending on the model with a belt or a fur collar.

Linen for warm days

In summer, what matters is that clothing lets air reach your skin. Linen is light and breathable, with a natural, slightly irregular texture that looks relaxed and still well put together. For this, the women's collection includes linen sets with a blazer and wide-leg trousers as well as loosely cut trousers that work for a stroll through town just as well as for dinner on the terrace.
